Convert between audio formats, or pull the soundtrack out of a video file: drop in an M4A voice memo, a FLAC rip or an MP4 video and get MP3, WAV or OGG back. For MP3 you can pick the bitrate — 192 kbps is transparent for most listening; 320 kbps is the maximum the format supports.
Like the other media tools here, conversion runs locally through FFmpeg in WebAssembly. Voice memos, interviews and recordings never leave your device.
Frequently asked questions
Can I extract audio from a video?
Yes — drop in any video file (MP4, MOV, WebM…) and the video stream is discarded, leaving just the audio in your chosen format. It's the standard way to turn a recorded talk into a listenable MP3.
Which format should I choose?
MP3 for compatibility — it plays on everything. WAV for editing or further processing, since it's uncompressed (and large). OGG when you want good quality at small sizes and know the destination supports it.
What input formats work?
Anything FFmpeg reads: MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OPUS, WMA, plus the audio track of common video formats. Files up to 200 MB.
