Set minutes and seconds or hit a preset — 5, 10, 25 (hello, pomodoro) — and start. The remaining time shows in the browser tab title so you can work in another window, and a chime plays when the countdown ends. Pause and resume without losing a second: the timer is anchored to your device clock, so background-tab throttling can't make it drift.
Frequently asked questions
Will the timer still work if I switch tabs?
Yes. The end time is fixed against your device clock when you press start, so even if the browser slows background tabs, the countdown stays exact — and the tab title keeps showing the time left.
Can I use this as a pomodoro timer?
That's the 25-minute preset. Run 25 minutes of focus, take 5 (there's a preset for that too), and repeat — four cycles, then a longer break, per the standard technique.
Why didn't I hear the chime?
Browsers require a user interaction before a page may play sound — starting the timer counts, so normally you're fine. Check the tab isn't muted (right-click the tab) and your volume is up.
