CPS Test

How many clicks per second can you manage?

Loading the interactive tool… It runs in your browser — if it doesn't appear, enable JavaScript.

Click the box as fast as you can for five or ten seconds and get your CPS (clicks per second). Most people land between 5 and 7 with normal clicking; dedicated techniques — jitter clicking, butterfly clicking — push into the 10–14 range. The session best tracker makes it a game; that's rather the point.

Frequently asked questions

What's a good CPS score?

5–7 is typical, 8–9 is quick, 10+ usually means a technique like jitter or butterfly clicking rather than raw speed. The 5-second test rewards burst speed; 10 seconds tests whether you can sustain it.

What are jitter and butterfly clicking?

Jitter clicking tenses the forearm to vibrate the finger on the button; butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on one button. Both trade comfort for speed — and some games' anti-cheat treats very high rates with suspicion.

Does my mouse affect the score?

Somewhat — a light mouse with a crisp switch registers fast clicking more reliably than a stiff one, and some cheap mice can't register more than ~8 clicks per second at all. Past that, it's technique.
