Convert Word documents to PDFs that look the way the document does — rendered by LibreOffice, a full document engine, rather than a quick-and-dirty HTML pass. Fonts, margins, headers, footers and page breaks come through; the output is a proper shareable PDF that opens identically everywhere, which is the entire reason PDF exists.
Like our PDF-to-Word converter, this runs on our server (faithful rendering needs the full engine) — files are converted in memory and deleted immediately, never stored.
Frequently asked questions
Will my fonts look right in the PDF?
Standard fonts (the Calibri/Arial/Times families and metric-compatible equivalents) render faithfully. Unusual fonts not embedded in the document are substituted with the closest match — if exact typography matters, embed fonts when saving the .docx.
What formats can I convert besides .docx?
Legacy .doc, OpenDocument .odt and .rtf all work — anything the LibreOffice Writer engine reads. Spreadsheets and presentations aren't supported here; this tool is tuned for documents.
Why convert to PDF instead of sharing the Word file?
PDFs render identically on every device, can't be accidentally edited, and don't expose tracked changes or comments you forgot to remove — the classic .docx-sharing accident.
